Trinity Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
THE LIFE OF THE CHURCH

As a small church, Trinity strives to practice the earthy and intimate community life that Jesus proclaims. We share much of our life in common, each of us bringing indispensable gifts that build up the community. Some of us cook, some of us garden, some of us play music and sing, some of us build and repair, some of us spread news, some of us sit with others and listen, some of us play-act and tell stories, some of us study and share what we are learning.

Our church family is a little bit like a garden. It is messy. And it is full of life. It nurtures each of us even as it stands ever needful of our nurture. Let me invite you to jump in and explore the garden; there is something for everyone.

Because things can become a bit tangled - like any good garden, ours is always changing - below is a "field guide" to help you explore the messy and abundant garden of life at Trinity. Of course, this list is not exhaustive. We have found that some of the most meaningful opportunities for fellowship, worship, and outreach, sprout up spontaneously. It is our hope that our garden continues to grow in ways planned and unplanned, and that you find here opportunities to follow God, however God is leading you. If you have any questions, or if any of the events below interests you and you would like more information, please do not hesitate to ask us at trinitychristianchurchdoc@comcast.net. We will be sure to point you in the right direction if we don't have the answer ourselves.

"FIELD GUIDE"

Fellowship (Every Sunday at 10:15 a.m.) - We gather together around the tables in the fellowhip hall to share the experiences of the past week and enjoy each other's company. This is a great opportunity to meet folks outside of worship.

Worship (Every Sunday at 11:00 a.m.) - We gather together in God's presence for prayer, song, the sacred witness of scripture and story, and sharing the Lord's Supper.

Special Fellowship Lunches (On Select Sundays after Worship) - We gather together around the tables in the fellowship hall to eat and to enjoy each other's company.

Small Group Studies (Seasonal: Advent, Lent, Etc.) - We gather together to study and learn from scripture, often with the help of a study book or commentary. This is a great opportunity for exploring our faith and learning more about how the story of scripture interweaves with our own stories.

Christian Women's Fellowship (Every Second Monday at 1:30 p.m.) - The women of the church meet together to study scripture and to organize fundraisers and collections for various ministries in the community.

Clean-Up and Repair Days - Led by our intrepid builders and grounds-people, we gather to help with the needs of the church and the surrounding community.

Special Community Days (Santa Breakfast, Etc.) - We gather together at church to welcome the community and share God's love at thematic or seasonal events that the whole family can enjoy.
